Description – The works involved a new installation of new Schucho windows & the construction of a new front entrance and reception area to Hilti’s head office in Trafford Park. 

A particular challenge with the project was that the building & offices remained fully occupied and operational during the contract. 
We therefore had to work closely with the buildings & booking manager to break down programme on a week by week basis. We installed a movable hording over three number windows in the open plans office out of hours & before staff started works. We then moved this along each evening again out of hours to ensure segregation & replaced windows in sections to ensure building occupier Safety. Continual liaison between MBC’s site manager was critical to the project ensuring meeting rooms were booked out around Hilti’s operations when replacing windows in these areas. 
As part of the contract we had to undertake the construction of a new front entrance. This was procured under a contractor’s design element of the contract. We initially had to create a new path & temporary front entrance for the building users. We then had to employ our specialist designers for structural designs & our in house CAD technician undertook the architectural element of the design which was submitted to the client for approval. We then horded off the area from the building users and demolished the old front entrance.
The works involved excavating and installing a new foundations and slab, installation of a structural steel frame. Roof timers & bauder roofing system. We then installed a curtain walling, intercom. M&E upgrades and automatic doors & specialist Hilti Branded signage.
